transform your practice

LAND (IN)SITE

How does a relationship with the land transform your design practice?

LAND (IN)SITE calls built environment professionals, community organizers, land stewards, and agrarians to engage in spatial design thinking on the land.

We gather on Indigenous, Black, and people of color stewarded land collectives and community gardens. And host a workshop filled with reflection and interactive exercises, designed to invite in:

  • embodied design practices

  • traditional and cultural design thinking

  • community building with your neighbors

  • intersections of spatial and land justice

Together we can design, build, and create, in relationship to the ecological systems we live in.

If you are interested in bringing this workshop to your community, please reach out to info@openarchcollab.org.

Origin Story

This series weaves in practices and curriculum designed by Ezra Kong, Shalini Agarwal, and Almas Haider. In our individual practices and collective workshops, we now bring LAND (IN)SITE to OAC.
